Indonesia Crisis Bulletins
The Indonesia Crisis Bulletin series was developed to share findings from quarterly nutrition and health surveillance conducted by Helen Keller International in Indonesia in response to the need for monitoring the health impact of the Indonesian economic crisis that began in the latter half of 1997. As the country began to recover over the past several years, the Indonesia Crisis Bulletin continued to publish the latest important findings from HKI's Nutrition and Health Surveillance System, which broadened its scope to monitoring the impacts of other key developments in Indonesia, including efforts to expand and strengthen the national vitamin A supplementation program, the transition to a decentralized health infrastructure, and other issues affecting the nutrition and health of Indonesia's most vulnerable populations.
